We offer spare attachments because we know things sometimes happen. Lost a rivet before you had time to install your halter plate? Accidently ordered the wrong size? Decided these chicago screws are actually perfect for another project you have? We have you covered!

Rivets are available in three sizes; 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm.
Chicago Screws come in; 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2"

Attachment Options:

Rivets: 3 sets of rivets will be sent - 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm to fit a variety of leather and nylon halters.
Chicago Screws: 3 sets of screws will be sent - 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" to fit a variety of leather and nylon halters.
None (small hole): If you already have left over rivets, you can save by having no attachments sent. This size hole is too small for chicago screws.
None (larger hole): If you already have left over chicago screws, you can save by having no attachments sent. This size hole is 1/4" and fits most chicago screws.

Attachment Instructions:

  • Hold plate up to the surface you wish to attach to in desired position.
  • Mark holes using a pencil, pen, etc. and remove plate
  • Punch holes on the marks using a leather hole punch or desired device
  • Align plate with newly punched holes and thread a rivet or chicago screw (tube end) through one side
    • For rivets: Place cap on the other end of the rivet and gently push rivets together. A hammer can be used VERY gently if needed. It is important that the correct size rivet is used so that the plate is not pinched, or loose. A long rivet can also attach crooked.
    • For chicago screws: use a flat head screw driver to screw the threaded end of the chicago screw into the tube. Be careful not to cross-thread and ensure it is tight.
  • Repeat on other side
  • If you feel your plate is not secure enough, locktight, nail polish, or a small dot of super glue can be used inside the rivets/ on the chicago screw thread when installing them to keep them secure. Be sure to work quickly so it does not dry prior to installation.
